Looking for something fun and inspirational to do next weekend? We'd love to invite you to our open garden event in Dundee.
Hosted by DGHUK trustee Frances Dent and her husband John (pictured), it’s a beautiful half-acre, south-facing garden offering lovely views over the River Tay and the Fife hills. Located just a short distance from the University of Dundee Botanic Garden, it's a wonderful space to explore for an afternoon.
Visitors can wander among the shady trees and shrubs to discover hidden areas and a variety of garden styles. You'll find oriental-themed water features, a relaxing pond and waterfall area, and a charming miniature knot garden.
The Open Gardens weekend is always a lovely opportunity for our supporters to catch up, and a very warm welcome awaits any newcomers who would like to enjoy the space and find out a little more about Dr Graham's Homes and how our charity is supporting the children there.
Alongside the garden itself, there will be live music Broughty Ferry Fiddlers (Saturday) and Kevin Findlay and Keith Richiardi on fiddle and guitar (Sunday), plant stalls to browse and children's activities. We will also be serving homemade teas.
The Open Gardens weekend is run in partnership with Scotland's Gardens Scheme. The majority of proceeds — 60% — will go directly to DGHUK, so your entry fee will make a real difference to vulnerable children in Kalimpong, in the foothills of the Himalayas.
